But we NOW have an unprecedented chance to help stop Tess and anyone else from killing the world's most vulnerable giraffes like this. In weeks, countries from across the world are meeting for a crucial global wildlife summit. And for the first time ever, five African countries have proposed to put giraffes onto the list of protected species. This would be a game-changer and wake the world us to give giraffes the protection they deserve. And it's urgently needed because the Giraffe population is already down by 40%. She says that, likely knowing that giraffes are highly intelligent, emotional animals -- who spend their evenings humming to each other to communicate. It's time for all of humanity to see our animal friends as possessing rights and to be treated with dignity.
