Hanging in the balance

Dear friends, Tens of thousands of Maasai in Northern Tanzania are facing forceful eviction by the government to make way for elite tourism and trophy hunting. For generations, the Maasai of Ngorongoro have stewarded their ancestral lands, nurturing an intimate relationship with nature that's allowed humans and wildlife to coexist and thrive. Now, this precious connection is hanging in the balance. Over 100,000 people could be displaced – some say they'd rather die than leave their homes. The Maasai are resisting, even planning to challenge the decision in court -- a new Indigenous rights fund could help give them a fighting chance!Because it's not just the Maasai. Around the world, an endless greed for resources is driving the destruction of Indigenous lands, threatening their survival and pushing entire ecosystems to the brink. From Ecuador to South Africa, Indigenous Peoples are fiercely fighting back – but their remarkable resilience is being tested like never before, they need global solidarity to fight this endless land-grabbing.And, that's where we come in!If enough of us chip in just a small amount, we can help cover their legal fees, provide media, advocacy and logistics help to mobilise support worldwide, and supercharge our campaigning for Indigenous rights and a global deal for nature. This could be truly transformational. Chip in now – together, let's end this relentless encroachment on Indigenous lands everywhere:
