Europe just launched a consultation to gauge public opinion on a total ivory ban!

Profit-hungry ivory dealers are pushing to keep the market open, but if we flood the process with demands for a ban, we could drown them out.

This is a formal process where each of our voices counts, and it only takes minutes. If enough of us write in, we could win a total ivory ban and help stop the extinction of this magical species:

There has never been a more dangerous time to be an elephant. 30,000 African elephants are slaughtered each year for their tusks. Elephants could be wiped out from much of Africa in our lifetime.

But the US and China have announced ivory bans and Hong Kong is considering a phase-out by 2021. Europe's lagging behind. And this is our chance to close it down.

This consultation is designed to be complex and technocratic, but if we don't all weigh in and show massive public support for a ban -- the ivory traders will win. The elephants will lose. Let's all do our part:
