Trump just called for full-scale ethnic cleansing in Gaza. But we refuse to be erased.
Dear friends, | My people's future is going up in flames.
Ancient olive groves in my home in the West Bank are being set ablaze. In Gaza, parents still search for their children's bodies, now just skeletons beneath the scorched rubble.
I've been beaten, shot, and jailed for defending my people's right to be free -- but never have I been more terrified for Palestine.
Trump wants to drive two million of us into the deserts of Egypt and Jordan -- he's even suggested Israel should take our homes in the West Bank.
If he succeeds, Palestine will be erased.
But we have one thing Trump doesn't: Sumoud.
Sumoud is defiant resilience -- in Palestine, it means forging an unbreakable spirit that harnesses creativity to protect our communities, planting hope in the ashes of destruction. This is how we've endured for generations -- and with your support, we will again.
Avaaz has identified Sumoud networks -- brave grassroots leaders developing brilliant ways to block the uprooting of their communities.
They bring seeds into Gaza to fight starvation, guard olive groves from arsonists, turn motorcycles into ambulances when bombs rain from the sky, and much more.
Trump's storm is coming. But if we act now, Avaaz can scale these networks, saving lives, land, and our future. With deep trust and staff on the ground we can deliver where others can't -- no one can do it faster.
This isn't just a donation -- it's resistance against erasure, a fight for survival, and a step towards lasting peace. Donate now: | | | | | | | Extremists like Trump and Netanyahu seek to radicalise everyone with every tragedy, every loss, and every act of hate -- pushing us all deeper into a spiral of violence. Our response would show that their cruelty is not the future we want. These Sumoud networks prove something more radical: with every seed planted, arson stopped, and community rebuilt, we weave together a movement across borders and faiths, showing that a future of shared dignity is possible.By pooling our donations, we can help build that future. If we raise enough, here is what we could do:- Help families stay on their land by expanding farming cooperatives -- scaling up farmland, providing essential crops, and mutual training to reduce the risk of starvation;
- Build more innovative life-saving tools, such as motorcycle-ambulances and anti-arson toolkits to protect lives in crisis, including during pogroms;
- Double the scale of Sumoud networks -- organising tens of thousands into offline and online networks committed to resilience and innovative non-violent resistance campaigns to stop efforts to drive us out;
- Support local efforts to rebuild Gaza -- funding key community leaders and experts who are developing blueprints and tools to make Gaza liveable and beautiful again; and
- Power the growing call for freedom and rights for Palestine -- continue our crucial rapid response work around the globe to demand accountability for war crimes, and end the occupation.
The freedom of my nation and any hope for a just peace hinges on our unity and solidarity now. Your support could help spark a historic Sumoud uprising, re-igniting hope everywhere oppression is trying to wipe it out. Donate what you can now: | | | | | | Working on Israel/Palestine is exhausting, and can feel hopeless. Trust me, I know. I'm from here, I live here, and it has been my life's work. Yet, things have only gotten worse.
But history tells one truth: it is always darkest before the light. Time and again, the Avaaz movement has shown the power of people to resist, rebuild, and rise -- from the Amazon to the Maasai Mara, and beyond. And I believe that with you by our side, we will not be erased. We will endure. We will be free. But it'll take every one of us.
From my heart to yours,
