800 left

They kiss, they cry, and they care for their babies for years – Tapanuli orangutans are astonishingly like us. But they're vanishing: just 800 remain in a single rainforest in Indonesia. And now, a corporate giant worth billions is set to start bulldozing their only home to expand a mine – with a literal 'green award' from the government. It's extinction for gold and unless we stop it, they could disappear forever. We've come together against destruction here before. Bulldozers haven't started yet — and if we act fast, they never will. Let's come together and demand Jardine Matheson's chief Ben Keswick use all his executive power to halt this reckless expansion. If we build a global outcry and amplify it with eye-catching actions and smart media coverage, we can send a clear message that expanding this mine isn't worth the risk.
