I'm reaching out again because the hunger crisis in Gaza is now critical. Children who barely survived months of famine are now being pushed into starvation again. Yet Israel is severely restricting the amount of food allowed into Gaza -- and the Supreme Court just announced its intention to ban 37 aid providers. Now organisations like Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children, and Oxfam will have to stop their work in one month -- drastically reducing humanitarian aid when it is already dangerously low. As 100,000 children face starvation, farmers and neighbourhood groups in Gaza are racing to fill the gap. They are reviving destroyed farmlands, fixing greenhouses and irrigation lines, and already providing over 6,000 tons of fresh food. It takes $10 to grow about 25kg (55lbs) of vegetables -- imagine what they could do if thousands of us chipped in! You have generously given before, thank you. I am humbly asking again.
This is a chance to do more than respond to a catastrophe. It's an opportunity to help families survive and power Avaaz's campaigns against Israel's brutal siege. Please donate what you can now:
| Dear Dany, | | I'm reaching out again because the hunger crisis in Gaza is now critical.

Please donate what you can now: | | | | | | | | | | | | Israel's genocide has utterly destroyed Gaza's farmlands -- and 100,000 children are facing acute malnutrition. But now neighbourhood groups are regenerating Gaza's farmlands to feed thousands of families. Your donation will help them scale up this lifesaving work, as Israel restricts food aid again.
(More wonderful photos below!) This fundraiser is about more than emergency relief. Humanitarian aid can keep people alive in the short term -- but survival alone is not enough. Today Gaza is one of the most destroyed places on Earth. Farms, water systems, homes and clinics have been wiped out, leaving families almost entirely dependent on aid just to survive. And that's no accident, it's part and parcel of Israel's genocidal policy. Now Trump's "Board of Peace" could permanently lock in that dependency, trading away Palestinian rights and calling dispossession a deal. But there is another path. And Palestinians are already walking it.
Across Gaza, community groups are beginning the slow work of rebuilding the foundations of daily life. With limited funding, they've already repaired 17 greenhouses and restored agricultural wells serving thousands of people. This work is still small compared to the scale of destruction. But the more we raise, the more community groups can do to revive Gaza's destroyed food system, and the more we can do to help families fight for freedom. If we raise enough together, we could:- Help to rebuild Gaza's food systems, feeding thousands of families -- we'll fund community groups to rehabilitate damaged farmland, replant food crops, restore greenhouses and irrigation wells, and bring safe water back to communities;
- Strengthen community-run emergency lifelines, where volunteer and neighbourhood groups are providing shelter, meals, and basic medical care to families who have lost everything;
- Power Avaaz campaigning in Palestine -- pushing to end the Israeli occupation and war in Gaza, working toward freedom, justice and dignity for all.
Throughout the genocide, Palestinians on the Avaaz team have often talked about "sumoud" -- the unbreakable spirit of fierce resistance. Sumoud is how the families of Gaza, Hebron, Ramallah, and Jericho have endured for generations, planting seeds in the rubble of destruction. Today we have the precious opportunity of helping those seeds flourish again -- on Palestinian terms, led by Palestinian hands. Please donate what you can now: | | | | | | | | | | | For years, this movement has stood alongside Palestinians in their fight for freedom and dignity. And our commitment has only deepened during the genocide. Together, we've funded frontline groups delivering humanitarian aid and medical care, and helped bring eyewitnesses from Gaza to the world stage -- breaking through silence and forcing governments to act. Again and again, Avaaz members have shown what people power can do. And we cannot, will not, stop now. With endless hope and fierce determination, Christoph, Kaitlin, Fadi, Mike, Carmen, Ana Sofia and the whole team at Avaaz We couldn't resist sharing a few more of these beautiful photos! From around the world, let's support this incredible work, planting seeds of hope across Gaza.
